Petersburg, florida, in 1984, and raised in charlottesville, virginia. After spending time in the united states military during its george w. Bush years, marc formed his own band and first tour with haggerty in 2006. The tours and albums he has released since then have been predominately country music with an occasional romantic ballad or country song about love. On december 10, 2022, it was announced that Marc Broussard had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He had been on tour with haggerty for the past two years and had already completed his first two shows. Without him to help out and support him, the bands decided to split up in early 2022. Broussard's first album since 2022, the year of our love, was released in early may 2022. He had surgery on may 13th to remove his pancreatic cancer. He was able to finish his first two shows in may, but he was forced to stop due to the cancer. He was able to continue on in the meantime, performing his music as usual.
